Watercolors

Breakfast, November 8, 2011

My father turned 90 on October 22, 2011. If each day of living is a gift, each day of life after ninety is a winning lotto ticket, if you are comfortable and happy. Currently my father is both. So every morning I savor and commemorate the moment with a watercolor painting. He is looking down in every painting because as I paint, he eats breakfast. Each painting represents one day of human life. I don’t know how many watercolors I will have the honor of painting.
