I lived in Africa for two years in the 1990’s and have very strong ties to Kenya. For those who have visited the African continent, or who are longing to, one of Nyack’s newest merchants might interest you.
African Arts and Crafts Ltd. opened in June in the mini-mall at 85 South Broadway. (Down the hall from Vincent’s Ear)
The owner, Kajogo Iguna, travels to Kenya twice a year to work with artisans to design new products.
He developed his passion for hand-made African crafts when he saw elderly people and mothers who lost loved ones making art to support their families.
